I keep getting this message:

I then open it, and tick the box saying 'I have a firewall that I will monitor myself'. But it constantly keeps coming up!
Is there anyway of getting rid of this crap? So annoying.

btw I have Win XP and sp2.

im not sure how to disable the security centre but you could get rid of that popping up by enableing the windows built in firewall or perhaps someone someone could tell us how ...because it bugs the hell out of me too lol

Answer:

Start--->Settings--->Control Panel---->Administrative Tools--->Services---->Security Center

Disable it, and change the startup status from "Automatic" to "Disabled."

I found out :D

You'd probably be better off just disabling the alerts and leaving security center running.

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Security Center > "Change the way Security Center alerts me" > uncheck all three boxes.
