Hi there,

I have a 2000+ Athlon XP system with 512 DDR Ram and 40 GB seagate hard disk. I just bought a 80 GB seagate hard disk and wanted to transfer the stuff from the 40gb to the 80gb hard disk.

I created a ghost image using Norton Ghost 2003 and loaded it into the new 80 GB hard disk. Please note the following: I created an image of the 40GB hard disk while it was formatted as FAT32. I loaded the image to the new 80GB hard disk which was formatted as NTFS. Would that create any problems?

When I turn on the computer the boot screen for Win XP Pro appears OK but as soon as I log on with my username in the login screen of XP I get the following error message:

Title: Windows Product Activation
Content: An error has occured that is preventing windows from checking your license. Error code (0x8???? something)

What can I do to make it work?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't mix partiton types, they are not compatable. All fat32 or all NTFS.
