I've been having strange problems ever since my power went out. I posted a couple errors and have slowly been getting this back to normal. Now another problem I am having is that if I play the original quake whatever folders I have open while playing now seem to be popping up on the right side of the screen. i.e if I open my games folder and then open quake then close quake the folder will always pop up to the right even after a restart. I am presently running a virus scan but it ran on thursday and didn't find anything so I doubt it will now. I even tried downloading the newest video drivers and that didn't work. Could someone please help me with this? Thanks a lot.

stroke6463, SWAG, is it possible that during the outage, Windows got confused about where it should be? Suggest you get on a border and when your cursor becomes a double ended arrow, drag/drop the folder to the spot you like and use the close option under file as opposed to the handier 'X'. That should force Windows to 'remember' the setting. Crossed fingers can't hurt either. You only need do this once. HTH. Ed in Texas.

Unfortunately, I can't even get the double arrows to pop up. The windows completely jump off the screen. I'm just going to format and reinstall with the factory disks because ever since the power outage there have been all these little bugs that keep popping up. Windows functions fine but just small things like that annoy the hell out of me. Thanks for the advice though.
