I'm having a weird problem. When I open up a picture in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer the picture comes up fine but all the option buttons that are normally under it are gone. I can't figure out how to get them back and Google hasn't been any help. Ideas anybody?

Kreeos, dunno your answer, but do have a suggestion for you. Get (free) Irfanview @:
http://www.irfanview.com
and use it to view your pictures. It's an excellent graphics manipulator and I think you'll like it at least as well if not better (better IMHO).

See if it gets fixed by uninstalling
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, in Add/Remove Windows Components.
Then re-install it.
@ Chuck Where would I find the file to re-install it? Would it be on my Windows XP CD?
Kreeos,, Try the following. Start>Run than copy & paste or type in:
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
Click OK
If that doesn't correct the problem:
Start>Run than copy & paste or type in:
regsvr32 /I shimgvw.dll
Click OK
Note that the spacing is important.

Tried both, neither worked.
Back when I first got my computer with XP,
I check marked Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, in Add/Remove Windows Components.
It got installed without a CD.XP may have installed it by using a file that is contained within C:\WINDOWS\inf
With those shortened file names, unknown which INF file. I see the game 'pinball' in that folder.
