Stopped working. Now I can't look at any of my digital photos. Anyone else have this problem?

I also did the right-click on a file and chose WPFV and made it the default again, but it still won't open.

Something in the registry?

Use different file association other than WPFV. Yesterday M$ deployed a patch through Windows Update to disable WPFV due to EWFM vulnerability.

Where did you read that the patch simply disabled the viewer as opposed to correcting the offending code.

I ran the update last night, but that doesn't explain why the program stopped working 7 days ago.

It's the only slide show program I know of on my computer.

stattad, Try the following:

Go to Start/Run and type: regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

If that doesn't correct the problem try this:

Go to Start/Run and type: regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll

Note: The spacing is important.

It should correct your problem.
