There're several cleaners around designed specifically for trojans (similar to, but not same as a virus). Malware Bytes (Google for location) seems to be the preferred remover, but I've run into a few it couldn't handle. Superantispyware seems able to handle all comers. (Info only. Rather, I suspect Windows itself. FWIW, Windows seems to have been plagued with shutdown problems of one sort or another since day 1. I use a standalone shutdown proggie (for convenience) called 'Slawdog' (said to work on all versions, I run XP 3 ). Get it free @:
