can some one help me with my windows media player please
it plays files but i only get the sound and no video, ive installed xvid/divx/intervideo
but still no picture from any type of video file at

You might not have the codec thats needed to play the video... Try downloading them from Microsoft.

thank you for replying so quickly
but i downloaded the codecs and it still doesnt show the video on any files i play, just the sound

my misses is gonna bash me soon if she cant watch her films lol

The only other thing i can think of then is to downlaod and install Widnows Media Player 10 (if you havent already)

Do a Google search for free DVD player. Download and try your DVD in one of them, see if it plays.
