There is no DVD device on PC. BUT, there is DVD (ripp) file(s). Why I can't play this DVD files from disk? (Yes, if there IS dvd device in computer, I can play DVD file from hard). OH, yes, I try to play with Windows Media Player v6.0.2900.2096

If you don't have a DVD player, then you can't play DVD discs.

I want to play DVD files from hard disk!
(so the question was - why I can't play DVD (rip) files FROM HARD DISK, if I do not have DVD device in computer - BUT I CAN PLAY dvd files FROM *HARD* (not from dvd-device) if I have DVD-device in computer (allthou I do not play DVD media) Uhhhhhh.
I wonder is it possible that Microsoft make so kind of -hm- mistake - that Media Player the first looks if there is DVD-device in computer, then bla, bla... you know.
