I installed the wmp10 and when I tried to uninstall it and re install series 9, I can't. I get a message that says there is a new version and it exits setup. I've tried system restor and no matter how far back I go, I get a message that says it can't be restored because no changes have been made. Im starting to think it may be a virus but when I do a scan, I can't find anything. Can anyone help?

Fear not, you don't have virus. I had the same problem. There are a bunch of steps to go through to uninstall your WMP10. I learned to live with WMP10, and it's not that bad once I reinstalled it, which fixed a lot of the problems I had with it, like album info and the WMP toolbar that didn't work. What kind of problems are you having that you wanna go back to 9, or do you just not like it?

Hi Leoak
WMP10 is a beta version mate and according to ms as you say can't be uninstalled. Just another example of Microsofts arrogance.
Did you down it and before opening it create a restore point? If not that's why you can't go back, not wishing to state the obvious.

I had 3 restore points for that day and several more for this month and even going as far back as 2 months, I can't get my restore to work. I've installed about 4 different programs this month so I know it's wrong when I get the message that I haven't made changes. Also, I need to get series 9 back because I use a program that has to have wmp9. I've also tried re-installing wmp 10 but all I get is the visual, skins and icon folders.
