Windows Media Player DVD Codec

Product: AMD, Corsair, Biostar, XI

I orderd a dvd DL combo drive from newegg.com and made the mistake of buying the OEM version and now I dont have any burn or playing software Im going to perchase nero 7 but now I would like to find a free compatable DVD decoder codec. Can anyone help me here?

This plays dvd's out of the box, it has all you will need to get started viewing.

I do apriciate the effort but I really dont want to download another player, but rather just the needed codec, to anyones knowlege does such a free codec exists?

Your concern is a moot point, if you are going to use another codec aren't you going to have to install it.

Which is pretty much what you are doing with the codecs suggested.

well then, is there an app to view dvds. Other than WMP.

Hey Arctos, Great find! I prefer using the old media player 6.4, but it wouldn't install on my new pc. I don't like using the bloated media player it comes with and I am so glad you posted that player, it will also play mp4 video files.. that is awesome!
