Comment: Hello there! When I try to play some streaming videos in my Windows Media Player, it attempts to download some codecs. (Shows text 'sening request to codec') When 100% of codec download is complete, player gives a message that says "Windows has blocked this software because it can't vertify the publisher" My question is: how can I enable installing codec in Windows Media Player? By the way, I'm running WinXP Pro with Service Pack 2. Thank you! xfff

Reply: (edit)There is a codec 'package' available direct from the Microsoft Media Player page. I haven't tried downloading it since the installation of SP2 but since it comes form MS it should be a 'verifiable' publisher. :) http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/codecdownload.aspx Cheers "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference."
