Don't know what has caused this one.
When I click on an AVI file usually WMP starts and the film will play as normal - no problem. Now, all I get is audio and NO pictures, also there is NO "tab" showing on the Task Bar so I can not stop the audio from playing - any ideas??

Just a guess here; maybe a corrupt file imbedded in WMP? Have you scanned with anti-virus, Adaware, and Spybot? Might be worth scanning, just in case. None of my business, but I think Winamp is far superior to WMP....have you ever checked Winamp out? The new build of Winamp is quite impressive, also a very stable player for audio/video. I now use it for everything...works like a charm. Hope this helps a little, good luck. ~Tommyo

Besides WMP, do you have a second media player on your system? When a second media player is set as the default, it can interfere with WMP. (I have found this not to be true with Winamp, however.)

Hi all, thanks for the replys.
Solarian, yes I do have another player (PowerDVD) have not used it for months, WMP has always been my default. Now removed though, why do I need two?
tommyo, I had completely forgotten about WinAMP, I've now downloaded the latest free version and it works well, thanks.
The only problem is that I would still like to fix WMP, or at least find out what the problem is/was.

What version of WMP are you using? If it's version 9, the easiest way to fix things would be to uninstall WMP, then download and reinstall a new copy.
