I was having problems with windows media player. I re-installed. However, I do not see a desktop icon and am not sure it installed properly. I do see it in windows components, but not in all programs.

Does it appear under program files when looking in the C drive? It's been a while since I installed it, but I seem to remember it installing the first time you try to use it. Find the executable under program files and open that to see if it works.

there were several media files in C. when clicking, it said, you have the latest media file 10 installed. I think the older versions were not removed properly. Thanks.
