Hi,
Have a Dell Dimension 9100, that came with XP MCE 2005. Main boot\HD dying, trying to ghost\copy before it's gone all together. Found a great, free partition utility: EASEUS, which will copy a whole drive (which I've done). Everything looked and seemed to run fine; save for when I went to run the actual Media Center (TV tuner) software. Program hung; (actually will repeated fun a Seagate Disk Manger utility!).Question is: can the Media Center software (program) be reinstalled separately from the whole OS?
Somewhere I'm guessing there may be issues with 2 (unlabeled) disk partitions from the old drive that I never really understood...), but trying to at least get back a healthy\functioning main OS (and if I have to avoid using the TV tuner Media Center software component.. I guess it could be worse).
BTW I do have the Dell OS DVD that came with the computer. (hoping that since all of the drives are SATA that I won't have to screw with slip-streaming SATA drivers into a new boot-OS installer).

... still worth doing for the sake of one cd/dvd:

... I have the "Media Center software" on a 2nd cd which I hav'nt bothered to install (another machine)
... I do'nt use microsoft tv or audio if I'm using other tv audio software !
