I tried to start my MSN messenger and ended up with a .net passport and LIVE. when I went to start it told me my MSN was too old (4.7) and i needed 5.0 at least. So i did that and then it told me xp sp 1 not compatable and that i need sp2. Could ave said that from the start i reckon. how do i get rid of the lot and start again. Damm MS.

thanks now for any suggestions.

Go to the windows update site and download sp2. There is sp3 out, but some Acer machines are having problems with sp3. Make sure that you scan for viruses and malware before downloading sp2.
