I was wondering if other users that have a hotmail account are have issues. When trying to read email by way of hotmail website, message never opens. All you ever get is on the bottom left hand corner of the screen it will say "working on your request..." This happens both on IE7 and Opera 9.60. Email can be read by Windows Live Mail the successor to outlook express.

Yes, in fact I updated my hotmail account to Windows Live mail . Before that I was suffering the same problems as you. I found by clicking on the manae folders option ,the last option listed in hotmail. I was able to delete the emails I had in the junk folder and in the delete folder ! Also any messages I had tried to delete in the inbox where moved to the delete folder also ! Good Luck ,Nick
