Hello. I am trying to install some games onto my computer, but the Autorun feature doesn't work. I get an "Autorun.exe - Application Error" message, saying "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)" Then, when I try to manually open the folder to click the setup file, I get a "Windows Installer" message saying "The system cannot read from the specified device". I tried reinstalling Windows Installer 2.0, and it didn't work. Anything else I can try, or any insight as to what the problem is? Thanks!

Ok, I tried running windows installer 3.0, and it still doesn't work. Autorun doesn't run on any of the games I've tried, and manually running setup doesn't work either. On Doom3, it says it cannot read from the specified device, and on Half-life 2, it gives me asks me to verify that it is a valid windows installer. Could there be something wrong with my CD-rom? It's actually an old DVD-Rom drive I pulled out of my old desktop, and I don't have the drivers for it. I thought that the newer windows recognized most drive though. I can still open the folders and browse around, but I cannot run any of the programs. HELP!
