Hello everyone!
Every time I click on my "Microsoft Word" program, a tiny window appears for a split second that says "Windows Installer, Preparing To Install." Like I said, it pops up for a split second, just barely enough time to see it real quick. I never had this problem before. I did format my HD about a month ago, and that's when that started to pop up. It only happens when I go to open "Word." Then, it takes Word" forever to open. It opens and there are no errors and the document is there that I want to view. And, there are no problems with me creating any new stuff in "Word." Can someone plz tell me why this is happening??
I'd appreciate any advice on how to fix this...thanks.
Viv

Thanks for the advice, it did not work. I use office XP. Soooo, I decided that I would remove Office XP and reinstall it and the problem is solved. No more windows installer window appearing. I guess I just should have gone that route and not bothered anyone here. Thanks again for your advice. Viv :)
