I've downloaded the internet explorer set up file 2 times, and each time have run the file atleast 2x. Each time I try to set it up, the same thing happens: during setup, I am told that it's recommended to restart the computer to finish set up. I restart the computer. But then can't find EI 7 anywhere! There's no shortcut on the desktop. There is no IE7 on my programs list. What is happening? HOw can I download IE7??

I don't have iexplore.exe but have iexplore.exe.mui and when I right click on that, I only get a shortcut to that file. When I doubleclick on the shortcut, all I get is a prompt to select which program with which to open that shortcut.

??

Thanks Johnw! That link had just the right trick! It was a matter of right clicking on the desktop, choosing properties, then desktop tab, then general, then checking off "internet explorer" in the top section. Thanks!!
