Hey guys. Help! I have a virus that keeps shutting down my computer. I am using Windows XP Pro. It keeps truncating numerous files. Also, I ran both Nortons and Mcafees Emergency Disk, and neither worked. Please help. I keep trying to reinstall nortons, but now my system is saying that it is against Admin policy. ANy help is greatly appreciated. I cant for get the spool problem and that it is saying I recovered from a serious error.

just checked add \remove programms and ive already got that update listed as a hotfix..thanks for help anyway.

Is there a way of finding what an error message means.a programme or perhaps a site where you can insert your error message and get an answer to what it means.
please dont say send to microsoft as its a waste of time .I once spent about 6 weeks trying to contact them and they never answer they just pass it on to someone else.
