M$ have released another security update which appears to auto re-boot PC, tough on all the people who bought EBAY OEM CD's!

If you have a legitimate Product Key for XP, you shouldn't be affected -- whether or not your disk is OEM or retail.

I understand they'll be doing that with every Windows Update. If you have a pirated copy of Windows, then yes, you'll have to disable the message everytime MS sends it. Of course, the cure is to purchase a legitimate copy.

Strange one here...... At every boot, my Zone Alarm pops up and asks if I want to give permission to allow Windows Genuine Advantage. Of course, I click yes as this is a brand new Dell, and it came pre-installed with Windows XP Home. I am fully able to download / install Windows Updates..... as I should; this is a legit XP Home here. BUT.... this is getting annoying to have Zone Alarm pop up at every single boot and ask permission for it to run. I'll probably have to check off the "always allow" so it doesn't ask... But I am curious if anyone else has noticed this. And is my thinking correct to check off the "always allow" ?????
the latest one may-31-06 is to fix some false positives with the may-23rd release of wga. and it calls home to check your key everytime you logon, since MS is adding to their list(blacklist keys) daily. heard this from my cousin who works for his cousin Bill.

I told Zone Alarm to not allow it. If Billy wants to pay part of my phone bill I will let it phone home. I do have a legit cd and still get all the updates.
