Yamaha Sound Card DS-XG 3Com/USRobotics 56k ISA Modem AMD Certified 300w Powersupply 3 Fans CD-RW Drive & Floppy Ok I run WindowsXP and my computer freeses at random points, the mouse stops you can't press any keys only the reset button works. I thought it has something to do with when I'm online and playing music at the same time I don't know. When it freeses up sometime it gives this constant beep noise on the speakers... Can anyone help?

Reply: (edit)I have been having the exact same problem. From other posts I have read, and this one, I'm starting to really suspect the SB Live! card. You might check out this post: http://computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/946.html I just disabled my on-board SB Live! in the BIOS... will find out how well that works in a little while. =)

Reply: (edit)I have a new Athlon XP 1900+ System with an ABIT KR7A motherboard, and every day, at least once a day, the pointer on the screen will freeze, and no keywtokes or anyhting else will make the computer repsond until is is reboot. It looks like others are having same problme? Except I have a brand new Soudblaster Audigy card with up to date drivers.
