I do not want to install windows again and don't want to lose any of my work. I tried rebooting many many times, sometimes it gives me a blue screen with an error message which says, "unmountable volume" and sometimes it just freezes at the login screen. Any help will me helpful and appreciated. thanks.

To try to rule out a hardware issue, try to boot into safe mode by pressing F8 on startup. If while booting into safe mode it sticks on mup.sys there probably are some corrupt system files, try to repair it by booting from your CD and using the recovery console.
