Hi. I had my IE hacked recently, and it affected my firewall and antivirus. I managed to repair both of them, but now I cant configure my firewall because the options are greyed out.
I restarted the ICS/firewall service and I still cant do anything with it.
Im thinking it has to do with priviledges, but Im logged in as the admin...
can somebody help me out? thanks in advance.

Check the Group Policy settings via gpedit.msc
Expand Administrative Templates, Network, Network Connections, then Windows Firewall, and click Standard Profile.
Look at "Windows Firewall: Protect all network connections", and ensure it's set to "Not Configured". Double-click this settings, check Not Configured, "Apply" and "Ok".
If it is already set to "not configured" go ahead disable it and then reset it back to "not configured" and check your firewall option afterwards.

I'm having the same problem but my search is also not working to figure out where gpedit.msc is. Could you please tell me where to find gpedit.msc and/or how to fix my search?
Peace, respect and thanks...
