Windows file protection

Every day the windows file protection box comes up and says cd drive in your system not working,please insert your windows xp home edition cd rom.My system came with no cd as it was already installed (hard chip).Ive tried switching the WFP off in the regedit but it still keeps poping up.Ne body can help me. Its driving me crazy thanxs. Warren

you should've gotten a recorvery disk in with your system, if so insert that in and that will allow xp home to do it's thing. if not go to where you bought it and tell them there wasn't a recovery disk and that you need one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you may not get recovery Disk when windows is provided as OOBE ( Out of the Box Experience) Best bet is to call the dealer and they should be having warranty for your system
