My pc while i was loading up a program suddenly just restarted. then on the info screen where all the pc's info loads up in black and white it stops and says 'disk error located' 'press ctrl+alt+del to restart' so there is no luck there. i then put in my rebootion disk to reboot it and it goes to 100% and restarts. after rebooting i get a message saying 1.safe mode, 2. safe mode with networking, 3.safe mode with prompt, 4. load original settings & 5.Star windows normally.

if i click the first 3 options, i just gives a list of all driver files then stops there and doesnt proceed, the last 2 options it has a loading bar then freezes, so what do i do?

Try to run a HDD utility. Maxtor has Maxblast and Seagate has Seagate Tools. See if your HDD has failed. If you can't even run a HDD utility, you might be able to slave this drive into another computer and check it that way.

From your decription, a "disk error" is keeping your computer from booting into the OS, even in safe mode, and that's a real bad thing. If the HDD is physically OK, you may be able to fix disk errors with Check Disk.
