Does anyone know how I can fix windows explorer from popping up with this message: Error sgnature: AppName:explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.5512 ModName: xvid.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0003683b?

It seems to happen whenever I click into an movie folder or when I double click a movie file. Something to do with codecs??

Thanks for your help. :-)

Use the add/remove application and remove the XVID codec and see if it clears up. You can download another version and reinstall it!

Thanks lurkswithin,

Before reading this post, I was just telling my husband to try and delete xvid.dll to see what happens (figured we can always re-install if things go askew), lo and behold it solved the problem. So far no error messages. :-)

Thanks so much for replying with your help. I was stumped on this one.
