Comment:

When I open Windows Explorer, it defaults to that annoying My Documents folder. I would prefer that it opens to the C:\. Is there any way to make that happen? Thanks.

Right-click Windows Explorer.
On the menu that appears, click Properties.
In the Target box, append the "/root" command-line switch to the "%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe" command, using the startup location that you want. For example, if you want Windows Explorer to start at the root of drive C, edit the command to the following:

%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /root, C:\

Click OK.

OR to say ---
Right click the Explorer Shortcut,
then click Properties,
then next to the word 'Target', change that line
to read
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,c:\

Thanks Pappy and Chuck2!

That worked. Now, if there was a way to remove the annoying My Documents file. Guess I'd better take one thing at a time.

Have a good one!
