hey guys, big problem with my laptop, anytime I click on my computer an error msg comes up saying windows explorer needs to close, it happens when I try to access anything on my hard-disk directly but if I access my hard disk through a program there is no problem, eg. I have a shortcut to a music folder which gives the error msg but I can access them through media player, or look through everything in a photo editor when I choose open...any help really appreciated

I had a similar after I ran spybot one day. It did something to interfere with the operation of explorer. Everything was fine though after a backup re-install. Needless to say I trashed spybot.

Remove any new programs that you have installed and run your back up if you have one.
