hi there
I have been experiencing problems firstly with dragging and dropping files and folders. I drag a folder for example on the RHS pane, and drop it into another folder on the LHS pane, but it ends up in a different location from where I wanted it to be

Secondly, I am getting weird error messages that files have too long a name, and win explorer has to be closed, and file can not be copied

I also get weird looking little green trees next to the files I have copied or dragged and dropped

My win explorer is a bit of a mess now with so many folders and files duplicated and in locations where I have to remove them, if I can find them

I find that if I close the explorer, and oppen it again, all is fine for a while again, then the problem restarts

I four anti-virus programs, and everything is in order in that regards

is there a way to repair the windows explorer?

Some scumware have the ability to disable your onboard anti-virus program(s). Suggest you get an ON-LINE virus scan and clean whatever they find.

You have FOUR! antivirus programs running at the same time? No wonder your computer's screwing up. Uninstall all but one AV program.
