Hello,
For quite some time now every time I view a folder with video files and I click on any to open it, I get an error message saying that Windows Explorer has generated errors and will have to be shut down.
I have set the view mode to "list" but that didn't help, I use SpyBot and AdAware on regular basis, so the solution presented here:
http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/51793.html
..didn't really work for me.
Any other ideas?
thanks, Marta

gilda, a few thoughts come to mind, no guarantee that any will work, but... First, if you are being prompted to send M$ a message, don't bother. That option was in there for their programmers/beta testers and users don't need it. Second thought is to reboot. That'll give Windows a chance to 'clear it's head'. Next is to get something like 'Irfanview'(freebie grapix viewer/manipulator, great versatile proggie) at:
http://www.irfanview.com
and set your unviewable files to open with it and see if that does the trick. Thought being that just maybe the wrong proggie is trying to open the files and KNOW they can be opened by Irfanview.

thanks for the suggestion.
I thought irfanview only opens image files? while the ones that seem to cause the problem for Windows Explorer are videos.. they're set to open with BSPLayer... but maybe there is something in this suggestion, I'll update my graphic card drivers and will play around with the default settings to open the videos.
thanks!
