Windows Explorer closes down

Comment:

Windows Explorer shuts down when I click on a folder to open any folder where as the '+' to expand the tree works OK. Any help in this matter is much appreciated.

That's strange. Have you checked your computer for spyware or viruses?
This sounds like a conflict in the registry.

You should go try to download the most recent version of Explorer and install it; this may fix the problem if it isn't malware/virus related.

Yes,
I used Norton Antivirus and Spysweeper and also adaware. None was found.

I vaguely remember the same thing happened long time ago and I think I had to register some DLLs again. I am not able to find that reference again.
