I am trying to find a way to get WinXP to recognize my Sony Minisdisc Walkman as a drive in Explorer. It does install a driver when attached to the USB cable, but unlike my camera, doesn't show up in Explorer. The Sony software that came with it is very limited. I want to try some other way to burn to it or extract media from it. Help?

I use a mini-jack to mini-jack cable to download recorded conversations from my mini disc. My sony laptop does not recognize it as a drive by usb either.

Thanks for your reply Mike. Don't know if it'll help, but I did write to Microsoft about recognizing the minidisc in explorer as well. I think if enough hardcore md users write the development peeps, they may consider it in a future OS or service pack. One hurdle will be getting them to recognize and convert Sony's ATRAC3 format.
