As of now when I go to start/all programs/accessories/Windows Explorer ,it will open in MY Documents ,Iam curious if there is anyway to have it open in a page or folder of its own ,or anyway you can change the setting for which folder it opens in ? For instance if I wanted it to open in My Computer instead ? Thanks to all that reply !
Have a Merry Holiday Season !
Take Care ,Nick

Why would you want to create another redundant feature? If you wish to Explore My Computer, open My Computer from the Desktop Icon, right click the Drive you wish to Explore and choose "Explore" from the Context menu.

My Computer Is accessable from Windows Explorer/My Documents, in the left Pane. Simply click the "+" preceeding My Computer and select the drive you wish to Explore.

It's all there.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

Not sure if I understand exactly what you're asking. In the past, I've created a shortcut to Explorer, but it actually opens to a folder I specify. For example, have it default to my Z drive, I create the shortcut:

C:\Windows\explorer.exe /e,z:\

First of all thank you for all the replies. I wanted to make it clear that having Windows explorer open in My Computer was not my wish ,I was only using it as a example! What I was asking is if there is a way to have it open in its own folder ,and more or less just curious about the way Windows Explorer works and how one would change the default setting if they so wish. Iam going to follow Tufenuf's link and see what it has to say on this subject ?
Thank You Nick
