Can not re-boot desk top. getting error message \windows\system32\l_intl.nls
how can iget to my dos or c screen, wnen i can't get past this message? any help?

I wouldn't jump right on the bad HDD idea, just yet. Too many other possibilities and some possible remedies.

It would help if you post the EXACT error message and more info on your system.

Compaq Presario ????? AMD Sempron ???? RAM ???? WinXP????? Sp1,SP2???

Also include any recent changes ie.. installed software, like recent upgrade to XP SP3?

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

I have a Compaq Presario SR1603WM with AMD Sempron and graphics by ATI. The error message say " \windows\system 32\ l_intl.nls "
When I try to re-boot it keeps getting to this page it stops. I can not even get it to read my back up re-store disc that I made when I got my computer. Hope this added info will help someone help me.
