My sister is having problems with her PC and I'm trying to help. The system is only a week old and she's having a problem with Windows. Every time she tries to start up anything, i.e. Outlook, Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger etc an error message comes up. She can send the error report to Microsoft but that's it. Nothing else will run on her PC without an error message appearing. Any ideas on how we can stop it? She can't even get onto the Windows Update site to download any recent updates. We've tried disabling Zone Alarm and starting in safe mode and disabling the error messages/reports but still get the same problem.

Send it back. If its a week old, tell the company and tell them your situation. Especially since its a week old. Have you tried to call the company? Normally if there is that many things wrong with your computer then its something that the company did not do right. You can only call the company if you bought it all in the box (built together)

On this google page it would seem you are out of luck. It appears EISYSTEMS doesn't support their product.

Well, I did tell her to buy a "named" brand! Thankfully she's managed to find a restore point and everything's back to normal. She's also been in contact with the company she bought it from. Maybe they'll get back to her...one day.
