Hi, just recently i started getting an error message up after id launch certain stuff, one of them being GTA vice city. My comp eventually hangs, and the pixelage goes huge, then it tells me theres been a system error, windows device failure - and to restart..
im really stuck as to how to fix this.. is it something to do with the graphics card?

Thankyou!!
~Sam

Do you know if GTA Vice City uses DirectX? And if it does, what version? Is your video card driver compatible with the DirectX version? Go to C:\Program Files\directx\setup and run the dxdiag utility. If this is the issue, maybe this will help you clear it up. Or does the manufacturer of the game have any answers for your problem on thier web site?

That's an onboard video CHIP. It shares the total system ram and my bet is the chip only get 32 or 64 megs of ram to play with. eVGA.com has a mx400 64meg ddr ram vid card for under 50 dollars. no matter what card you get when you installit be sure to disable the onboard chip.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
