Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the WINDOWS\System32 folder in WinXP Pro? Or if there is something else I could do to correct the following error message I received a couple of days ago?
WINDOWS - Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file C:\WINDOWS\system32. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.
Firstly, I can't locate any failures in pc hardware and I know my network connection is fine. I'd rather not move a system folder but....if that's the only way, then how would I do that? Or, is there somewhere, possibly my CD or on the net that I could load the files I need?
Thanks for any help I may receive!
Georgie

hello
i would look over any programs that d/l files and make sure there d/l folder is not in system 32 or other system folder.
you could find the files on your cd.but you need to fined out why your getting this error mesage. you could allso reinstall windows ontop of its self. i would do online scan at panda or housecall anti virus. and try running spybot incase its spyware interfearing with this.
