Comment:

I formatted my computer and have switched over to Windows XP Media Center. With 5 DVD-R's, I saved the data that I wanted to keep and move over to my new OS. However, upon moving files over to the hard drive, I constantly am bugged with getting an error message called "Windows - Delayed Write Failed" "Windows was unable to save all the data for the file. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try saving to a different location." This error messages immediatly haults me from moving items over from the DVD to HDD(which is a Western Digital 60GB HDD). I have never encountered any problems like this before and I would appreciate and help/suggestions before I am forced to buy a new HDD.

I also just noticed that I am unable to defragment, or scan the disk for errors so I'm not sure if the HDD is just shot or not.
