Hello, I have this problem, when I try to browse around the Internet using Internet Explorer, as I try to access a website using just one Window (using IE) the window crashes and I have to close it down using Task Manager. For a moment in Task Manager it says that the CPU Usage is 100%. The CPU is an Intel celeron 2.8GHz and the computer has 512Mb of RAM. Surely it shouldn't crash frequently when I'm trying to just browse around using just one window with this processor right? What could be the problem?

Did it ever work correctly?
Start at the event viewer. Might have to setup dump logs. Might have to setup a performance monitor log.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

Have you tried installing a third party browser? Firefox is top rated. I keep a copy of Maxthon installed for testing. If it works with a third party browser at least you've eliminated a Windows problem.

Are you using IE 6 or 7?
Hmm I wonder what happened to decency and morality? Doesn't anyone remember them?

You have Virus/Trojan or rootkit monitoring the services, IMHO.
Install GMER (GMER.NET). Resolve rootkit if diagnosed. If possible post Gmer.log or HijackThis.log (RUN under SAFE MODE). Please post log file (without private information).

I managed to install GMER and it displayed a list of 'names' but I really dont know what to do from here. What should I remove using this rootkit?
