I have an XP laptop that is a member of my Windows 2000 Server domain. Whenever I am not plugged into the network, I get the "Windows cannot locate the server copy of your roaming profile..." error message. I know it wouldn't locate it b/c I'm not plugged into the network, but I do a lot of work outside the office, so is there some way to disable the message (as well as the one that you get when you log off)?? BTW, I AM the system administrator of this network, so I can ask him... ;-)

Hello Mr. Administrator :)

I am no expert in the matter, but try right clicking the network connection icon, then click
"Disable". See if that works.

That is the limit of my thoughts, have a nice day.
