Hey does anyone know how to install linux and windows xp on the same drive and let me have a boot screen so i can choose which os to boot up to. I dont know anything about this. i only know msdos

I don't use linux but I do a lot of other multi boots using BootIt NG. It should allow you to do what ever it is you wish to do. It has a Full 30 day free trial to try it out.

You didn't say which linux you were using. I tried Slackware and it has a bootloader that allows you to install it on a partition after Windows and have the choice at boot up. If I were you though I would practice on an older machine cause if you mess up the install on a dual boot or uninstall Linux you might end up having to repair the Windows boot loader to get Windows back.
