Comment: windows xp restarts after disk checking.it does all the disk checking and restarts(even in restart from good old configuration). if restart in safe mode it does all the file checking and restarts after checking the file
...windows\system32\drivers\agp440.sys
98 is working fine.this problem occured after i installed the game BLOOD RAYNE.i have GeForceMx 64mb please help

Reply: (edit)I would say to do 1 or 2 things. 1) Remove the BLOOD RAYNE game completely. 2) Use the search slot at the top of this page to find information about "automatic restarts".
There are tons of posts in the archives about XP restarting by itself.

Reply: (edit)There is an option whithin scan disk , a check box and if checked that will happen, I dont remember what its called so Im not any help though sorry. :(
It happend to me once and I had to re format from another computer it sucks
