Before install xp I have cpied WAP.dbl and WAP.bak files to an other drive then I install xp home then rename wap.dbl file boot in to safe mode copied oriinal backup file in to system 32 folder but still asking for activation.
How can I fix this problem.Please help.

That should be wpa. Won't work if you formatted hard drive. Hard Drive Volume Serial Number (VSN) will change from a previous formatted hard drive.
