Hello ..
I recently had to reinstalled XP with the help of Dell and would love to have had a disk from microsoft where the complete "service pack" is on disc as it takes over 6 hours to down load .
Is it possible to get it in England and there I asked is it free ? .
Many thanks for any commends .

Darn, I don't have the exact link. There is or at least was a full update for a few OS's up to about march available on the MS site.

OK, just checked. You need to get one from someone. They seem to have pulled the product. What a shame. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/protect/cd/order.mspx

I imagine you're referring to SP1 which you had to Dwonload\Install after the Re-Installation of the XP OS....

There is now an SP2 - which has only just been released by Microsoft...

...it will be available on CD very soon...

...you can order it here..

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx

Note that - you have to put that site into Favorites and keep checking back

PS - if you ever have to Reinstall XP again it will be sufficient to Install SP2 afterwards - so look after the CD when you get it
