Has anyone else had this problem? You attempt to restore a minimized app on the taskbar, it looks like it's going to restore itself and then goes back to minimized. After that, you can only right click and select Maximize or Close, it will not restore to its previous size. I have this problem from time to time on both my home and work PC's, running XP Home and XP Pro.

See if this works. Right click explorer in the system tray. Click properties and in the "run" box select "normal window" and see if that helps any.

MarshallW: try downloading the CMDOW Command Line Utility from: http://www.commandline.co.uk/cmdow/ then from the command console (Run: cmd) change to the root (cd\) then type: cmdow /? to get the command parameters to maximize taskbar windows, you could try the following command for starters; first list the taskbar windows and make note of the captions to use in the next command; cmdow window | /t /f and replace window with a selected caption for the command; cmdow window /max let us know what worked for you...
