Today I've run across two windows that, when you open them, nothing appears on screen. At first I thought something was wrong with the programs, and I'd have to reinstall them, then, I had an idea. I right clicked the box in the task bar, and chose Maximize. The programs filled the whole screen. Then I tried restore. They disappeared again.
The only things I've done different recently was install and use System Mechanic 6 and started using dual monitors. I tried turning one of the monitors off in the properties box, but that didn't do anything.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

JBS, "Today I've run across two windows..." guess I'm a little confused. JUST those two or all? If it's just those windows, calls for one fix while ALL windows calls for another. Elaborate please.
See if placing the cursor over the(right?) margin until it becomes a double ended arrow, then dragging/dropping the margin to where you want and then closing that window using 'file' rather than the handier 'X' helps. That forces Windows to 'remember' the setting. Perhaps?

Sorry, I didn't phrase that very well.
Out of all my programs, only two seem to act funny. Actually, one just seemed to fix itself on its own.
Anyway, When I start WinZip, nothing appears on screen. If I go to the box in the taskbar, right click, and maximize it, it fills up the screen. Now, maximized, I can't make my cursor a double arrow to resize it. And when I hit the restore button, or try restore from the taskbar box, it dissapears again.
I tried choosing the Move option from the taskbar, but the cursor goes to the very left hand side of the screen but doesn't make contact with the window. It's like when the window isn't maximized, it's outside the screen bounds.
Oh well, no big deal I guess. At least it still works.
