Hi I have been using winavi to convert and burn avi files with great ease and success. I have installed nero and now when i try to use the burn button in winavi it takes me to a Nero page. I have uninstalled winavi and reinstalled it but it is still happening. Any suggestions please. windows xp

Go to <Control Panel> <Folder Options> In there Open <File Types> Go to AVI in the files and Highlight that line Now see what Program open the AVI files It probably is now Nero, click CHANGE and change it to your winavi choice.
Let us know if it is now OK.

weesy, Sorry but it seems that Nero has been to your registry and I will not go there with any suggestions. I updated QuickTime so as to let my Grandson play some drum artists and it stole my movie files completely without asking. I got so mad I deleted Quick Time completely. It should be against the law for programs to capture your files without asking, especially when changing the registry. Post anew for some help with the registry problem. I am sure someone will come to your aid. Good luck.
