Have you tried restarting your computer? If that didn't work the have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it?

if it freezes when you try to launch the program directly...do the above and download/install again. what other programs have you installed lately. make sure other players are not running. maybe make winamp default player for the file you're trying play.......
if it freezes when you first click on the song that then launches to program....>>what kind of music file are you trying to play...... for instance, if you try to play a windows media file in music match (free version) you get the same 'freeze'
