Comment: Earlybird, you said "XP uses the same extension but it will not read Windows 9x backups. You will have to read them on another computer, transfer the files and resave." How can I "transfer" or "re-save" files? . . . am using an 8meg MS ACCESS database.

Reply: (edit)Read this: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q155979 When the file is retored you can save it to a tape, burn it to a CD or whatever you choose, then run it in the XP machine. Another way is to temporarily connect the hard disk to the other machine while the file is restored and save it to the same hard disk. If yo have a friend with a Win 98 machine they may oblige. Or, you could dual boot your machine to run 98 and XP.
